Members of the Keep Fit Class at the Ringway Centre

Keeping fit and active as you get older is very important. The term “use it or lose it” is very true, as our muscles and bones lose their strength as we age. Taking part in a Keep Fit class with an experienced instructor will ensure you do the right exercises to maintain’ mobility, flexibility and strength without causing injury. The class is for all abilities, just come and have some fun whilst strengthening your heart and lungs, muscles and bones and perhaps lose some weight. The classes are on Monday and Friday mornings at the Ringway Centre from ten to eleven and cost ฃ3 a class.

Tea and coffee provided free afterwards.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Jane Cullen, Instructor.

Lace & Craftmakers

Weekly sessions are held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  A range of lace making is taught, including needle lace, tatting and bobbin lace.  You can also learn cross stitch, knitting and crochet.  All euipment is available from the tutor and everyone is welcome, especiially beginners.

For more information please contact the manager at the Ringway Centre on 020 8857 7980.

Over 60s Group ("Bobby Dazzlers")

Thursday mornings: 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  The 'Bobby Dazzlers' is a group for men and women over the age of 60 years.  Activities are planned around members' interests.  There are outings and visits to places of interest, visiting speakers on health, safety and essential living skills.  Weekly meetings include interactive topical discussions and debates about common issues relating to older people.

Refreshements are included.

For more information please contact Elaine on 07968 577846 or Diana on 020 8460 5074.

ZumbaFitness Class

ZUMBAฎ is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness programme.  It integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval and resistance training, using easy-to-follow steps.  It’s different, but it’s easy – and it’s fun!  In fact, it has been described as “exercise in disguise.”
